How to create a new survey

In Motivati you can make your own surveys, but there are a few things you need to be aware of before you start.

To create your own surveys in Motivati, you must have administrator access. To create your own survey (and find other surveys we share with you), go to "survey" as administrator.
  1. Right-click a folder/category where you would like to make a survey, for example in "Internal surveys"
  2. Click "create new survey"
  3. Name it

A survey contains:

  • A form with...
  • ...question with...
  • ...alternatives.

    Create a form

    1. Click the pencil Blyant_redigerbelow "form"
    2. Select a form format
      1. If you choose scale you must set a number for how far the scale will go. For instance 6 (An example can be: 1. Strongly disagree to 6. Strongly agree)

Tip! You can leave the form format field empty. This will allow you to choose a form format per question. The report will then show the results as one and one question, and not in one joint chart.

      Add questions

Questions will be assigned to the form marked in blue.

      1. Click the pencil Blyant_redigerbelow «question»
      2. Type/paste in the question

Tip! It is often easiest to have the questions ready in an word document, and then paste them in. Then you have everything ready in advance.

      Add alternatives

The alternatives will be assigned to the question marked in blue.

      1. Click the pencil Blyant_redigerbelow «alternatives»
      2. The previous question's alternatives are suggested when you create the next question.

Remember! You must approve the survey for use with "edit" and tick of the box, so that it is available to be sent out from the leader role. Read how here

        NB!

        • Test the distribution. Send out the survey to yourself and possibly others (from the leader role). Does everything work as it should? Do you get the reports you intended? Once you have responded, remember to delete the distribution, so that the editing options return.
        • Check the Norwegian language version. Change the language in the top right corner and check if the questions are the same. The other version is locked after the first question has been entered, that is; if you make changes to a question, this will no longer be reflected. This means that you can translate one of the versions without affecting the other.
