Development conversation

The development conversation consists of three parts: a motivation analysis, additional questions, and an open question. Its purpose is to provide valuable insights into the employee's work situation, forming the foundation for the conversation. This facilitates the manager in understanding, clarifying expectations, and establishing measurable goals for future performance. It's important to note that the survey can only be sent as an open survey and not anonymously. For more information on the development conversation and the motivation analysis, you can refer to the provided resource.

Employee onboarding

In Motivati, you have access to several surveys that are suitable for following up new employees:
  • 2 weeks follow-up
  • 30 days follow-up
  • Motivation analysis for new employees (90 days)
  • 60 days / 5 months follow-up

The motivation analysis survey is similar to the development conversation survey, but it includes additional questions that are specifically designed for new employees.

If you would like more information on how we suggest structuring the follow-up process, you can find detailed recommendations here:

Exit interview

Exit interviews are essential for identifying areas of improvement and acknowledging what is working well. This feedback enhances understanding and growth and ensures a professional and positive conclusion to the employment relationship.

Motivati provides a survey called "exit interview v.20" that offers a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the employee's experience and identify areas for improvement in the working relationship. This survey can be used in conversations to enhance learning and clarify any concerns.

Wellbeing survey

The purpose of this survey is to assess important factors in the work environment of the organization in order to gain insights into areas of strength and areas for improvement. It primarily focuses on the psychosocial environment and factors related to employee well-being that are crucial in every work situation. The survey consists of 70 questions divided into 4 main areas, making it user-friendly for employees to respond to and easy for managers/HR to analyze afterwards. Typically, this survey is sent out anonymously, but it can also be sent out openly. If you want to further evaluate the physical work environment, we have a separate survey specifically designed for that purpose (see below).

Pulse survey

A pulse survey is designed to assess the well-being and engagement of an organization. It consists of approximately 10 short questions that provide insights into how employees are feeling. These surveys can be conducted more frequently to track the organization's progress. They serve as a valuable addition to the development conversation, either as an open survey with the opportunity for dialogue or as an anonymous response. The answers can be analyzed afterwards, allowing for comparison of results over time.

Home office

This survey is specifically designed for individuals working from home. It includes slightly more questions than the regular pulse survey and also covers aspects of the physical work environment. The survey can be conducted anonymously or openly, although we recommend an open approach. Since everyone's experience of working from home can vary greatly, it is beneficial for managers to understand where adjustments or alternative solutions may be needed.

Self-evaluation leader

This survey serves as an initial step for individual discussions on leadership development and provides an overall understanding of areas where leaders feel they can improve. Depending on the purpose, the survey can be sent openly or anonymously.

The survey has been used as part of a leadership development program, including surveys before, during, and after the program. It is accompanied by individual conversations that encourage reflection on the answers. This approach has proven valuable in observing how leaders' perceptions of their leadership evolve throughout the program.

Team development

The purpose of the team development survey is to provide a starting point for discussions about team interactions, with the goal of improving overall performance and delivery. It is recommended to send out the survey openly, as this allows for easier exploration of the answers if necessary. Open surveys also help foster a culture where team members feel comfortable expressing their own perspectives.

If there are challenges within the team, it can be beneficial to have an external facilitator involved in the discussion. This helps maintain focus on improvement, enhances understanding of different viewpoints, and promotes an open and respectful tone.

Risk and Safety

The purpose of this survey is to assess the employees' understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) risks within the organization. It aims to provide management with an overview of areas where they may need to improve communication and information sharing. This survey does not aim to catch anyone but rather to identify areas for improvement and ensure that employees are well-informed about HSE matters. If your organization has a special focus on HSE, this survey may be particularly relevant. It can be sent out openly or anonymously to gather feedback from employees.

The physical Environment

The Physical Environment survey is designed to assess the physical work environment and gain insight into whether it meets the wishes and needs of employees. This survey can be sent out openly or anonymously, allowing employees to provide feedback on their workplace experience.
